Becky's story
Becky was 30 when she went into the Mayo Clinic for brain surgery to remove a tumor.  The surgery went as expected, but then she went into a post-operative coma.  That's never expected.  Her parents never gave up, even when the doctors only gave Becky a 10% chance of survival due to the type of tumor and advanced stage at the time of surgery.  As her mother said, "we'll start with 10% and go from there".  They started working with Becky, talking to her, reading to her, massaging her limbs.  They told her they were not giving up on her and they were waiting for her.  About a week went by before she would do small things like change her expression when dad stroked her cheek or pull away when her hand was lifted, so they knew she was in there.

It took a few weeks and lots of patience, but finally she started to show signs of recovery.  Today she is home and attending events as an inspiration to others, a survivor.
